Common questions

A few things you can check directly in the app.

Where is my water history saved?

WaterTrack stores hydration entries on your device. The app doesn't require an account or provide WaterTrack-operated cloud syncing. Consider creating a backup before changing phones or resetting the app.

How do I back up or restore my data?

Open WaterTrack's Settings, then Advanced, to create a JSON backup or restore a compatible backup file. Keep exported files somewhere safe: they can contain your hydration entries and timestamps.

How do I turn off analytics?

Open Settings → Your data & about and turn off Share usage analytics. The app saves this preference across restarts. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.

Why aren't reminders appearing?

Check WaterTrack's reminder settings and confirm Android notification permission is allowed for WaterTrack. Your phone's battery and notification settings may also affect delivery.

How does Health Connect work?

Health Connect is optional. If you grant hydration-write permission, WaterTrack can write hydration information to Health Connect. You can manage or revoke permission in Android's Health Connect settings.

How can I send feedback from the app?

Open Settings → Your data & about → About WaterTrack → Send feedback. This opens an email draft addressed to our support inbox, if an email app is available.

Important: WaterTrack is a hydration tracking tool, not a medical service. For personal medical questions about fluid intake, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
